 Miután kikaptunk a Spurstől elég csúnyán, már kezdtük temetni a rájátszást. Hatalmas csodára volt szükségünk... De megkaptuk!!! A liga egyik legjobb csapatát, a Phoenix Sunst vertük el nem is akármilyen meccsen! Már az 1. negyedben 45 ponttal terheltük meg az Arizonaiak gyűrűjét, főként Richardson sziporkázott. A 2. és 3. negyedben tovább nőtt az előny, az 1. negyedben megszerzett 12ről 23ra duzzadt. Így eléggé ellazsáltuk az utolsó negyedet és a Suns egy hatalmas rohanással még 10 ponton belülre is kapaszkodott, de ekkor jöttek a kulcsembereink akiknek köszönhetően nem engedtük ki a győzelmet a kezünkből. A már említett Richardson a Spurs elleni 0 pontos baki után kitett magáért, bevágott 8 triplát, összesen 36 pontot hozott össze és emellé még lekapott 12 lepattanót is. Stephen Jackson és Baron Davis is rendkívül sokoldalú játékkal rukkoltak elő, előbbi 29 pontot, 6 lepattanót és 7 gólpasszt, utóbbi 21 pontot, 8 lepattanót, 12 gólpasszt és 3 labdalopást könyvelhetett el. Vmint Andris Biedrins bemutatta az idény egyik legszebb zsákolását. Kulcsfontosságú volt, hogy az ellenfélből Barbosa kivételével nem villogott senki. Ez a mi védekezésünket is dícséri. Nem halt meg a reményünk a rájátszásra.

“It doesn’t matter that we almost blew a lead. The only thing that is important is that we got a win against a good team that we needed. Jason was a dominant player for the first 3 quarters, he was outstanding and really put on a show. Jason is playing with confidence right now. I was lucky to have Monta at all, with him having a strained back. The time off was good for Baron. I am going to be playing him a lot more for these last games and he was outstanding on both sides of the floor. I was very proud of Andris for stepping up and making two free throws late in the game.
